Current priorities

Anti-social behaviour (ASB), including the gathering of young persons.

We have been engaging with the local community to find out common themes and identify the issues. We are aware that these issues increase through the warm summer months and will be focusing on increased officer presence in the problem areas over the next three months. We will positively engage with those we find are involved and speak with parents. Where suitable, a partnership approach with the local authority will take place.

Set: 2025-05-31

Anti-social vehicle use including nuisance driving and dangerous use of vehicles that cause harm, fear, or disruption in public spaces.

Over the next three months, we will be increasing patrols in known hotspots for car meets, off-road biking, and street racing. We will use powers under the Road Traffic Act and Anti-Social Behaviour legislation to seize vehicles, issue penalties, and disperse gatherings.

Set: 2025-08-28

Anti social use of vehicles

Over the next three months, we’re prioritising action on nuisance parking and the problems it causes in our community. This includes tackling vehicles causing obstruction, blocking driveways, and creating hazards for pedestrians and other road users. You’ll see more high-visibility patrols in hotspot areas, targeted checks on illegally parked vehicles, and enforcement against those breaking the law. We’ll also work in partnership with local authorities to keep our streets clear, safe, and accessible for everyone.

Set: 2025-11-30

Anti-social use of vehicles

Over the next three months, the neighbourhood policing team will focus on tackling issues of inconsiderate parking and speeding, which the community has highlighted as key concerns. We will target areas where obstructive parking and excessive speeds are creating safety risks and reducing residents’ quality of life, using visible patrols, targeted enforcement and community intelligence to identify offenders, improve road safety and restore confidence in the affected locations.
