Current priorities
Vehicle crime and suspicious activity, mainly taking place overnight with insecure vehicles and homes being targeted.
We have worked alongside our forensics and criminal investigation department (CID) colleagues, which has resulted in a number of key arrests and charges being brought against several suspects. We have seen an overall reduction in vehicle crime and reports of suspicious activity. Officers continue to patrol hotspot areas during the evening and into the night.

Anti-social behaviour (ASB), including youth violence is an ongoing priority.
We are working with a range of partners to address root causes of anti-social behaviour in the area. This includes the use of civil injunctions and arresting for criminal offences. Our local policing team is also working closely with Youth Offending Services to reduce this behaviour. We have recently arrested three juvenile responsible for causing ASB and crime in the area and remain under investigation. We will continue to take decisive action. We have increased high visibility patrols in hot spot areas We continue to take action against individuals identified as contributing to crime and anti-social behaviour in the area We have had recent reports of fighting in the Blythe Bridge area, particularly around Mount Road. This is something which officers are dealing with and taking positive action against suspects. Two suspects involved in incidents in the area have now moved away. However, these individuals continue to frequent the locality, Officers are currently looking at options around managing these individuals further.
