What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site owners.

Cookies We Use

BlueLineHub uses essential and analytics cookies:

  • Authentication session cookie — set by Supabase to keep you signed in.
  • Theme preference — set by next-themes to remember your light/dark mode choice.
  • Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) — set by Google to provide aggregate, anonymised statistics on site usage so we can improve our content. Typical lifetime: up to 2 years. IP address anonymisation is enabled by default in GA4. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising or profile-based targeting.

We do not use any advertising cookies or third-party trackers beyond Google Analytics 4.

Google Analytics — Your Choices

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking in any of these ways:

  • Install the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on — works for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and Opera.
  • Block third-party scripts using your browser's tracking protection (Brave, Firefox Strict, Safari Intelligent Tracking Prevention, or extensions like uBlock Origin).
  • Clear cookies for bluelinehub.co.uk through your browser settings.

Local Storage

We use your browser's localStorage to save your progress and preferences locally on your device. This includes:

  • Quiz results
  • Career stage selection
  • Promotion tracker progress
  • Transfer checklist progress
  • Theme preference

This data stays entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

Third-Party Cookies

Supabase authentication may set session cookies to manage your login state. Google Analytics 4 sets the cookies listed above for aggregate usage analytics. Our hosting provider may set essential performance cookies for delivery optimisation. No advertising cookies are used.

Managing Cookies

You can clear cookies and localStorage at any time through your browser settings. Please note that doing so will reset your saved progress, quiz results, and preferences. You will also be signed out of your account.
