Current priorities
Fly tipping.
Officers and PCSOs are working with Medway Council and local councillors to tackle fly‑tipping. A key focus area is Samuel Towers, where targeted work is underway. Together with partners, plans are being developed to improve the area and make it safer and cleaner for the community.

Alcohol.
Local officers, town centre teams and special constables are enforcing rules around drinking alcohol in public to help keep Gillingham High Street safe and welcoming. Officers speak with individuals and take action where needed to prevent street drinking. Action has also been taken against a local shop for selling alcohol to someone who was already drunk. This remains a priority, and work will continue.
