Current priorities

Alcohol.

Officers have carried out high-visibility patrols across the area to identify locations affected by alcohol-related issues. No specific hotspots have been identified at this time. Patrols will continue to monitor the situation, provide reassurance and help prevent any future problems.

Set: 2026-04-14

Drug taking.

High-visibility patrols are continuing in areas affected by drug activity, with stop and search powers used where appropriate. Stop and search is a legal power that allows officers to search people for items such as drugs. No drugs have been found during recent patrols, but this visible presence helps deter offending. Officers are also carrying out drug warrants (legal permission to search a property) and using Closure Orders (legal powers to shut down properties causing serious problems) at identified addresses.

Set: 2026-04-14

Fly tipping.

We have carried out joint days of action with Maidstone Borough Council’s Waste Crime Team to target fly‑tipping hotspots, vehicles and offenders. We continue to share information to identify those responsible and take action against them.
