Current priorities

We’ve received a number of reports and intelligence relating to the sale of vapes to underage children within the local area. The sale of vaping products (including e-cigarettes and e-liquids) to anyone under the age of 18 is illegal, and businesses found to be doing so may face enforcement action. We are working closely with Trading Standards to identify retailers who may be breaching the law, and appropriate action will be taken where offences are identified. We would like to remind parents and carers to be aware of the potential risks associated with vaping, particularly for young people, and to speak with their children about the dangers and legal implications. If you have any information about shops selling vapes to underage children, or any concerns about this issue, please report it to us via 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. In an emergency, always call 999. Your information helps us keep our community safe.

The Greater Bedminster Neighbourhood Policing Team has identified a rise in anti-social behaviour within Victoria Park. In response, we are working closely with partner agencies to address these concerns and ensure the park remains a safe and welcoming space for all members of the community. We are committed to taking proactive steps to reduce disruptive behaviour and maintain a positive environment for everyone to enjoy.

After a report made to Police of a dog walker assaulting a member of the public in Victoria Park in September 2025, a male was identified following a media appeal. He was arrested and has been charged with common assault. He will be appearing before Bristol Magistrates Court in October.

Drug dealing and anti-social behaviour in public spaces are current concerns within the local area. The local Neighbourhood Beat Team is actively addressing these issues through both overt and covert policing methods, with a focus on identifying and disrupting those involved in the supply and use of illegal drugs. If you witness any suspicious activity, please report it to us as soon as possible.
