Current priorities

Tackling Anti Social behaviour and feelings of safety

We continue to work with the NEC and Resorts world to identify perpetrators of ASB and take some form of action. We are in the process of banning a number of youths who have previously caused issues on site and are sharing details with the venue security. We continue to see reports of youths causing issues by setting of fire extinguishers, damaging roof tiles, these behaviours amount to criminal offences and will be dealt with once offenders have been identified.

Taking robust action to tackle vehicle crime

Vehicle crime continues to occur. These appear to concentrate around a number of the hotel car parks and I would advice guests to make sure belongings are not left on display and that occupants make sure they secure their vehicle. Please remain vigilant and to report any suspicious behaviours via 999

Hot spot for business crime and theft related offences

We have recently held another engagement event at resorts World which was deemed as very successful. Whilst shop theft remains low across the NEC and resorts World we still unfortunately receive reports of offences taking place. Solihull have established a dedicated Business Crime team to take shop theft and reduce future offending. Shop theft will be taken seriously and we actively encourage victims to report offences.
