Current priorities
Anti-social behaviour (ASB), and youth related crime and disorder (e.g. youth related ASB, large groups or threatening behaviours, low level criminality) Swiftly responding to incidents of ASB and effectively using policing powers available to intervene - including powers of dispersal where the actions of individuals or groups impact their wider surroundings; which can lead to wider harm, including the misuse of public spaces or buildings, criminal damage or vandalism, for example graffiti or damage to public buildings.
•Officers continue to work with local schools to identify opportunities for early intervention with individuals at risk of causing ASB. •Enhanced daily patrols in areas reported by residents as experiencing regular ASB, including areas of Shalfleet Close, Milfoil Drive and Larkspur Drive •Officers committed to regular meetings in the area, with events at school finishing time, to offer both parents and carers of youngsters an opportunity to get to know their ward officer. •Police are working alongside local shops to address recent issues around youth related crime and disorder, which has escalated into incidents of shoplifting and theft, teams are working with local stores to identify those involved and take appropriate action.
