Current priorities

Operation Downsway Our yearly campaign to address community concerns around road and driving related offences that fall into the fatal 5 driving offences.

•Extra patrols, educational and enforcement activities across the district focused on targeting excess speed, distracted driving, and mobile phone use will continue into the Summer months. •A number of police and partner deployments across the town in the last few months to tackle ASB driving, including excess speeding, have led to a number of positive stops and vehicle seizures, details of which have been added to our Sussex Police website, and posted to our Lewes Police Facebook page to help keep residents updated.
