East Tynedale — Neighbourhood Policing Team

Northumberland is one of the largest counties to police in England and Wales in terms of square miles. Save for the south east corner it is a largely rural county. We have police bases in Berwick, Alnwick, Morpeth, Ashington, Bedlington, Blyth, Prudhoe and Hexham.

Current priorities
Scooter and motorcycle disorder. Areas such as Wagonway Wylam, Prudhoe and those used in urban high pedestrian areas.
Re-contact victims of ASB to gather further intelligence. Identify hotspot areas to patrol. Use offender-focused approach, supported by media updates, increased community intelligence, CCTV enquiries, and both visible and covert patrols in hotspot areas. We also have a day of action planned around ASB week of action, utilising the drone and uplifting vehicles under Road Traffic Act legislation.
