Current priorities

It has been reported to Leicestershire Police that the community are growing concerned around individuals presenting themselves in suspicious circumstances which sub-sequentially involve drug dealing or the intake and misuse of illegal substances.

Regular intelligence is submitted and monitoring these drug dealing hot spots are carefully and proactively patrolled and any one found with illegal substances will be subjected to stop search and dealt with accordingly.

General ASB could be targeted harrassment or general nuisance behaviour. Whether that be youths loitering/congregating and causing distress to the local community, or minor low level neighbour disputes which involve in behaviour that requires intervention by the appropriate agencies such as Police, Housing Associations and/or Blaby District Council.

Regular patrols around our ASB hot spots across the villages are being conducted and victims and those most vulnerable are liaised with on a regular basis. With this information, appropriate agencies are regularly kept up to date and appropriate action will be taken on those committing such behaviours through the means of the incremental approach.

Road safety and speeding through the villages has been identified to be the highest reported issue for the NH24 Fosse Villages Beat.

We are currently in the process of recognising the main locations of where Speeding is being identified across the villages. Forwards from this, the NH24 Fosse Villages Beat Team are looking to conduct a Speeding Operation in numerous locations to show deterrence, awareness and prosecute any speeding drivers.
