    Mandatory Familiarisation Event

You must be able to attend one of our mandatory familiarisation events if you apply to become a police officer, as this will allow you to progress to the next stage of recruitment.

All UK forces share the same core regulatory framework (College of Policing entry routes, NPPF fitness standards, vetting levels). For a general explainer that applies to every force, see Entry routes (PCDA / DHEP / IPCDP), the fitness test and vetting.
