Current priorities
Retail crime - Skelton West
We regularly follow up on retail crime when it occurs on Skelton High Street. This includes checking store CCTV, identifying suspects and then submitting identification statements. In turn, this allows us to conduct arrests of anyone identified, some of whom are repeat offenders. We work closely with local retailers to help prevent thefts and increase their own security. Your local Neighbourhood Policing Team has also increased its presence for the purposes of deterring thefts, reassuring the public and detecting crime. We will continue to take positive action when we identify offenders.
