A Code of Practice issued under section 66 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984; admissible in evidence in criminal and civil proceedings and relevant to any question of admissibility under section 67(11) PACE 1984.

Commencement - Transitional Arrangements

This contents of this Code should be considered if an interviewer proposes to make a visual recording with sound of an interview with a suspect after 00.00 on 31 July 2018.

There is no statutory requirement under PACE to visually record interviews.
