Increased tasking in key areas by both PC’s and PCSO’s through specific targeted patrols based on demand and public use. Specific and increased patrols to show presence and gather intelligence on suspects involved in retail theft and the selling of stolen goods. Utilised days of action with targeted plain clothes operations within the city centre (Operation Spiralside) and other proactive operations relating to retail theft linking in with businesses for engagement Partnership working with ASB team, Bradford BID and other local businesses to assist Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) applications and enforcement continues. We've taken positive action where we can address problems live time and where possible provide conditions to safeguard businesses in the city centre. Ensure a larger contingency of officers are available for all this work in and around the city centre with the summer surge uplift. City PCSOs conducted multiple engagement events (Contact Points) across Bradford City Centre tackling issues including shop theft, fraud, anti-social behaviour (ASB), keeping safe. These events attracted both businesses and members of the public, delivering positive engagement, education on police initiatives, and strengthening partnerships through open free flowing conversations.
