Current priorities
Antisocial behaviour at Bentley Bridge Shopping Centre. The police and local authority have received reports that large groups of people are gathering at the site - especially at weekends - and causing Anti Social Behaviour, disrupting local businesses and customers at the retail park. The local neighbourhood team,West Midlands Police and the local authority are working collaboratively and have plans in place to tackle this behaviour and will provide reassurance to the local shops and customers. Additional WMP resources from across the force are also assistance with reassurance patrols and proactive action against individuals concerned.
Officers and local authority continue to conduct additional patrols of the shopping centre and surrounding areas, working with businesses and site security teams. Enforcement action and ASB orders will be utilised. The local neighbourhood team will continue to patrol and provide reassurance around the Bentley Bridge. There have been additional patrols in the area. Force resources have assisted with patrols in the area and will continue to do so. The local neighbourhood team will continue patrols in the area, working with local partner agencies to identify any crime prevention opportunities and with our schools officers to identify and educate those involved. A Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) has been approved by Wolverhampton Council and is live as of 25/03/26. We will look to engage with visitors and retailers at Bentley Bridge as this is introduced, as well as supporting enforcement, if necessary. As part of Operation Advance, your local neighbourhood team, along with other WMP officers, have increased patrols in the Bentley Bridge area, engaging with businesses, security and customers. We have also made multiple arrests for ASB matters and reported PSPO breaches to Wolverhampton Council for further enforcement. Additionally, we are carrying out joint visits with local authority and ASB team partners to those identified as being involved in ASB, as well as issuing warnings.

Antisocial behaviour is being reported in Ashmore Park, including groups around local shops and use of off-road bikes.
Local neighbourhood team have increased patrols in afflicted areas and have seized multiple off-road bikes in recent times, also reporting drivers for relevant offences. We are planning operations with our colleagues in the WMP Traffic department to further combat this and also have recently conducted a Multi-Agency Road Safety Operation (MARSO) with colleagues from Wolverhampton Council, DVSA, Licencing and Datatag, whereby numerous vehicles were seized and drivers reported for various offences. The team have also taken action under Operation Driftcloud, which is the Wolverhampton response to off-road bikes. We have also conducted speedwatches in response to concerns from local residents about speeding vehicles. Wednesfield North neighbourhood team also host monthly coffee mornings at The Hub, whereby residents and visitors can meet with the local ward officer and discuss issues that matter to them.
