Winslow and District — Neighbourhood Policing Team

Local policing team in the Thames Valley Police area: contact routes, current priorities and public events.

All Thames Valley Police neighbourhoods

Every neighbourhood in Thames Valley has a dedicated Neighbourhood Policing team. Neighbourhood Policing teams can be contacted via 101, the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number. Always call 999 in an emergency. Neighbourhood Policing teams… Are led by senior police officers and include police community support officers (PCSOs), often together with volunteer police officers, volunteers and partners. May serve one or several neighbourhoods. Work with local people and partners to identify, tackle and prevent local, low-level crime, anti-social behaviour, and any ongoing concerns. Provide you with a visible, accessible and accountable police service and aim to make your neighbourhood safer. Have been present in every Thames Valley neighbourhood since 1 April 2008. Focus all of their efforts on their dedicated neighbourhoods, building relationships with local people. Neighbourhood Policing… Needs you to tell us about the issues that concern you in your area. Has transformed policing at a local level, to meet the needs of local communities. Is known as ‘Safer Neighbourhoods’ in Milton Keynes. From the start of 2010, Thames Valley Police extended its neighbourhood consultation by introducing a wider range of publicised opportunities to meet neighbourhood teams. We will provide open monthly meetings to allow the public to influence our priorities. These meetings will be branded as Have Your Say opportunities, and in many cases will be held in conjunction with partners. View Have Your Say summary and flowchart (PDF 40 Kb - opens new window) . Once local priorities have been identified, a broader ‘toolkit’ of problem-solving tactics is being made available to ensure crime and anti-social behaviour is tackled effectively. Across the Thames Valley area, there are many successful Neighbourhood Action Groups which will continue to deliver local problem solving, but the introduction of Have Your Say meetings will allow neighbourhood teams to identify more quickly those specific local priorities that need attention. Thames Valley Police views the introduction of Have Your Say meetings as a positive step in tackling issues that matter most to the public. I welcome your support and engagement in this endeavour. Current priorities

Speeding was again voted a priority in the May 2026 community survey areas of concern are North Marston, Whitchurch, Newton Longville and Winslow as highlighted by the community and local council.

The local neighbourhood policing team is continuing its work to improve community safety by addressing speeding concerns across the area. Locations raised by residents include Winslow, North Marston, Whitchurch and Newton Longville. Several Community Speed Watch groups are active locally, and we encourage any residents with concerns about speeding to get involved. Update June: further surveys to be completed over June/July to establish areas for enforcement days, results to be shared. July update: speed surveys completed in Mursley Road, Swanbourne and Whaddon Road, Newton Longville. Further surveys to be completed in August. .This priority will be reviewed quarterly in line with survey feedback, with monthly reviews of progress and actions taken. If you have any information, please call 101 or report online at www.thamesvalley.police.uk. Always dial 999 if a crime is in progress or if you are at immediate risk of harm.

Set: 2026-06-10

Anti-Social Behaviour was again voted as a priority in the May 2026 Community Survey. Areas of concern are the Winslow Park Areas – Football Ground and Bowls Club.

The Winslow Neighbourhood Team have been regularly patrolling the green spaces around Elmsfield Gate throughout the winter months. During these patrols we have seen fewer people out and about, likely due to the colder weather, however footfall is likely to increase with the warmer weather and we will adjust our patrols accordingly. As the weather improves over the coming months, we anticipate a potential rise in anti‑social behaviour (ASB) and will continue targeted patrols in these areas. We continue to liaise with the council regarding the installation of a CCTV camera in the town centre. Update: Due to the layout of the town centre, a temporary camera cannot be installed at this time. We still receive reports of inconsiderate parking at school drop‑off and pick‑up times across multiple locations. This continues to be an issue affecting most schools. While the team will investigate any associated criminal offences (including public order incidents), general parking concerns should be directed to Buckinghamshire Council unless the situation presents a danger. June update: 2 recorded cases of ASB in May 2026, no change on previous month. July update: 5 recorded cases in June, an increase on previous month. PCSOs will continue to hold regular Have Your Say events at the following locations: North Marston Shop Winslow Library Newton Longville Coffee shop Mursley Farm Shop All details of these and other events can be found on the events tab of this page. This priority will continue to be reviewed quarterly in line with survey results, with actions assessed on the 30th of each month and adapted where necessary. Outcomes will be shared in future updates. If you have any information, please call 101 or report online at www.thamesvalley.police.uk. Call 999 in an emergency, if a crime is in progress, or if you are at risk of harm.
