Current priorities

Antisocial Behaviour - Alcohol Related

The Neighbourhood Policing Team continues to carry out regular patrols, focusing on areas where reports of ASB have been made. We work closely with partners to tackle this type of behaviour, identify those responsible, and manage persistent offenders and locations. Additionally, we continue to work with drug and alcohol support agencies to support the street community in the town centre. Furthermore, advice and guidance is given to local retailers surrounding the selling of alcohol.

Antisocial Behaviour - Youth Related

The Neighbourhood Policing Team continues to carry out regular patrols, focusing on areas where reports of ASB have been made. We work closely with partners to tackle this type of behaviour, identify those responsible, and manage persistent offenders and locations. We also continue to carry out intervention work with local schools and youth groups through our dedicated Neighbourhood Youth Officers.

E-Scooters and Cycling on Pavements

We continue to engage and educate cyclists on where they can cycle and issue fines where appropriate. Vulnerable road users, including pedal cyclists, are at heightened risk of serious injury or fatality in road collisions. With cycling promoted as a sustainable mode of transport, particularly in urban areas and along coastal corridors, Sussex Police prioritises both the safety of cyclists and the enforcement of responsible cycling behaviour.
