Current priorities
Shoplifting in the town centre.
We continue to see shoplifting offences reported from Tesco however, we are proactively dealing with the matter and bringing offenders to justice. We have conducted engagements with local shops and are routinely using CCTV where there are offences committed to identify offenders using facial recognition. Following arrests made we have been issuing offenders with community protection warnings alongside the criminal investigation to prevent further offences.
