Mercian & Spital — Neighbourhood Policing Team
Local policing team in the Staffordshire Police area: contact routes, current priorities and public events.
Mercian borders Tamworth town centre, and features a mix of new homes and old established housing. Queen Elizabeth Mercian School is one of its landmarks. Neighbouring Spital is a suburb which provides a lot of local employment thanks to a number of large business and industrial parks. The area has two high schools and a good selection of primary schools. Spital is also home to the newly refurbished Tamworth College which offers a wide range of further education courses.
