Essington & Featherstone — Neighbourhood Policing Team
Local policing team in the Staffordshire Police area: contact routes, current priorities and public events.
Essington is a friendly, predominantly rural area, with the centre being a rapidly expanding village. St John's School is at the heart of the village which has also welcomed Walsall Football Club who have opened a training facility in the Broad Lane area. Featherstone borders the city of Wolverhampton and is home to Her Majesty's Prison (HMP) Featherstone, a category C prison. It also has good road links to the west, with easy access to the M54 motorway. Local police also cover Hilton, Saredon, Shareshill, Newton, Springhill, Westcroft and Wedges Mills
