Branston — Neighbourhood Policing Team
Local policing team in the Staffordshire Police area: contact routes, current priorities and public events.
Branston lies on the outskirts of Burton and has a wide range of traditional modern housing as well as business premises. Branston Golf Club is a well known local sporting venue with a large health and fitness centre and entertainment facilities. Nearby Tatenhill has its own airfield used by small aircraft and helicopters. Rangemore is extremely rural and if you blink you could miss it although it is home to a thriving garden centre. On the sporting front, the area is the site of the planned national centre for footballing excellence.

Current priorities
Anti-social use of vehicles (inconsiderate driving, noise nuisance)
We have been engaging with local communities and the parish council to identify common themes that are arising, identify the issues, so we can take action. We are aware that this issue is particularly prevalent over the summer months in areas surrounding large retail outlets. As such, we will be increasing our presence, taking positive action by way of tickets, warnings and seizures over the next three months. We will also be approaching and working with local retailers to provide a joined up approach. On 22/6/25 a vehicle was seized at the location for document offences and a number of s.59 warnings were issued.
Set: 2025-05-31
Anti-social use of vehicles, including inconsiderate driving and noise nuisance.
We will target the anti-social and unlawful use of motor vehicles that causes harm, distress, or disruption in our communities. This includes reckless driving, illegal street racing, excessive noise, and vehicles being used inappropriately in residential areas, parks, or pedestrian zones. Our approach combines proactive policing, intelligence-led enforcement, and community collaboration to create safer streets and public spaces. This will be the local focus for the next three months.
Set: 2025-08-28
Continued focus on anti-social use of vehicles, including inconsiderate driving and noise nuisance.
Over the next three months, we’re prioritising action on illegal e-scooter use, nuisance vehicles, parking issues, and gatherings that cause disruption in our community. This includes tackling vehicles causing obstruction, inconsiderate parking, and anti-social behaviour. You’ll see more high-visibility patrols in key locations, targeted checks on disruptive or illegally parked vehicles, and enforcement against those breaking the law. We’ll also be working in partnership with local authorities and community groups to keep our streets safe, clear, and welcoming for everyone.

For the next three months, the neighbourhood policing team will focus on tackling problem parking and anti-social vehicle behaviour, following clear feedback from the community.
