Operation Akalat was conducted on the 24/04/26 in the Swansea area. This is a continuation of previous operations which cracks down on the illegal and anti-social use of off-road bikes, and stolen vehicles. Utilising NPAS fixed Wing aircraft officers sighted numerous off-road/illegal bikes around Swansea which were then followed by NPAS fixed wing aircraft until they could be safely apprehended by officers on the ground. As part of the operation 16 x motorcycles / surrons / offroad bikes were seized – 8 of which were from the Penderri area. The riders identified were reported for driving offences.
