Current priorities

The new priorities for this period (April 2026 to September 2026) are: • Rural crime • Road safety and road traffic offences • Drug dealing and drug misuse

Our priorities are set for a six month period and reviewed every three months to ensure we continue to deal with what matters most to local people, taking account of feedback shared in our local priorities survey and local crime data. To have your say on what you would like your neighbourhood officers to focus on, and to get updates from them about crime and policing activity in your area, please visit Northamptonshire Talking https://www.northamptonshiretalking.co.uk/ or click on the link at the top of the page.

Road Safety & Road Traffic Offences

Here’s an update on our work to tackle speeding and road safety issues, which was a local priority from April to September 2025: • Officers carried out speed enforcement activity in various locations across the area, including Bugbrooke, Nether Heyford, Silverstone, Brackley, Deanshanger and Hartwell, issuing tickets or sending advice letters as appropriate. • A number of drivers were reported for various traffic offences, including not having valid insurance or MOT. Two vehicles were seized. • Officers gave road safety talks to pupils at Roade Primary School, and trialled a ‘walking bus’ on Grange Park for the Woodland View school.
