Current priorities
Target multi agency operations between the Council, Partners and Police on the Craven Park Road and Manor Park Road Locality to stop, disrupt and arrest those taking part in acquisitive crime linked to prevalent drug dealing and street drinking.
At the Latest Ward panel Meeting the actions against our ward Priorities were discussed against the latest data and Crime maps for Harlesden and Kensal Green. We decided to keep this priority as there was more work to be done in to drive down drug use and dealing as well as street drinking. We have opened Dialogue with the Ward panel in how we can better identify our most prevalent offenders so that we can use the Early intervention scheme more effectively and progress to issuing Criminal Behaviour Orders as early as we can where necessary.
Set: 2026-07-02
Direct Patrols to reduce Violence against Women and Girls and Anti Social Behaviour Incidents on routes through the Jubilee Clock Section of Harlesden Town Centre.
At the latest Ward Panel Meeting we agreed that we will try to work more closely our partners. We will use data to direct patrols at key times in order that we are visible where our community want us to be. We will work with partners, such as the council to combat breaches of the Public Spaces Protection Order to reduce street drunkenness which can often drive this behaviour. We will work in partnership with Harlesden Town Centre Team to conduct policing operations and utilise specialist equipment such as live facial recognition cameras during specific operations which allow us to intercept managed offenders.
Set: 2026-07-02
Town Centre Robbery – We will direct patrols to reduce the number of Robberies and knife enabled Robberies taking place in the Harlesden Town Centre, specifically Tavistock Square and Harlesden High Street.
We will conduct targeted overt/covert operations to combat the locations where Robbery has been prevalent. We will target repeat offenders with Community protection warnings/notices and Criminal behaviour orders. We will be organising operations with specialist teams from within the Met police, including colleagues from Neighbouring Wards targeted at key times to target robbery. The Ward Sergeant will work to reduce abstractions from his team to ensure the local team are able to work within their ward and increase the Trust and confidence of the community.
