Retail Crime Colliers Wood has a large retail footprint and is often targeted by shoplifters. Concerns have been raised by a number of residents due to the increase in shoplifting that they have noticed on the ward.

Local officers have participated in a number of operations targeting the shoplifting hotspots resulting in a number of arrests. Officers will continue to target shoplifters and seek to manage the most prolific offenders with long standing solutions, such as Community Behavioural Orders.

Illicit drug use and supply Colliers Wood has seen an increase in Anti-Social Behaviour linked to drug use, including activities such as drug taking and associated rowdy and inconsiderate behaviour. Key hotspots include areas outside the tube station, along the High Street, and surrounding streets.

Officers have conducted patrols across the ward in partnership with Merton Safer Streets. In addition, officers have developed a proactive management plan to concentrate efforts on reducing the prevalence of drug-related anti-social behaviour within the community.
