Current priorities

Tackling drug use and associated antisocial behaviour

Increase high visibility patrolling particularly at peak hours, improve the usage of community protection warnings and notices. Identify and prosecute those who deal drugs to people in our community. Offer drugs diversion schemes to those we engage with.

Set: 2026-06-24

Target shoplifting on the ward using every opportunity to arrest and bring offenders to justice

Increase patrols with Business improvement district and safer business network. Target our most prolific shoplifters first and engage with the businesses that are most effected.

Set: 2026-06-24

Deter violence against women and girls

Increase the number of covert and high visibility patrols at peak hours to ensure that unwanted behaviour is deterred. Utilise officers specially trained in detecting body language of potential offenders within the night time economy
