Current priorities
Road Safety
Keeping Wyre’s Roads Safe Making our roads safer for everyone is a key focus for the Wyre Neighbourhood Policing Team. We’re working hard to tackle behaviours that put lives at risk, and your support plays a big part in that. Speeding If speeding is an issue where you live, you can report it online through the Lancashire Road Safety Partnership. When concerns are raised, we may carry out Community Road Watch sessions or run targeted speed enforcement in problem areas. School Drop-Off and Pick-Up We understand how worrying unsafe driving and parking outside schools can be for parents and local residents. Our officers regularly visit schools to promote safe behaviour, share advice through schools and social media, and work closely with Wyre Borough Council’s Parking Enforcement team to deal with persistent problems. Anti-Social Driving & Drink/Drug Driving Dangerous or irresponsible driving has no place on our roads. We continue to carry out focused patrols and enforcement operations to keep our communities protected. How You Can Help If you see dangerous driving or parking, please report it via the Lancashire Police website or speak directly with your local neighbourhood officers. Together, we can help make Wyre’s roads safer for everyone.

ASB
Anti Social Behaviour – Tackling It Together in Wyre Anti social behaviour (ASB) remains one of the biggest concerns raised by residents across Wyre. We understand the impact it can have on individuals, neighbourhoods, and overall community wellbeing. Whether it involves nuisance behaviour, damage, noise, or groups causing disruption, ASB affects how safe and comfortable people feel in their own area — and we are committed to addressing it. What we’re doing to tackle ASB We support Operation Centurion, a county wide initiative led by the Police and Crime Commissioner, aimed at reducing ASB across Lancashire. This brings additional resources, coordinated partnership work, and targeted enforcement in the areas that need it most. We run dedicated ASB patrols every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, focusing on known hotspots. These patrols are intelligence led, providing reassurance to the public, deterring offenders, and taking action when required. We work closely with partners — including Wyre Borough Council and other agencies — through the monthly ASB Panel, where cases are reviewed, information is shared, and joint solutions are agreed. We engage regularly with communities to identify emerging issues early and help prevent problems from escalating. How you can help Report ASB using the following options: Single Online Home: https://www.lancashire.police.uk Call 101 for non emergencies Dial 999 if there is an immediate threat or danger Provide as much detail as possible — time, location, descriptions, vehicle details, and anything else that may help officers understand and respond to the issue. Speak to your local Neighbourhood Policing Team if concerns are ongoing. Your information helps shape where we focus our work. ASB is more than a nuisance — it affects the daily lives of residents and the sense of safety within our communities. By working together, reporting concerns, and supporting local initiatives, we can make Wyre a safer and more welcoming place for everyone. Your concerns shape our priorities. We’re listening, and we’re taking action.
