Current priorities
Road safety issues.
Officers have carried out days of action focused on road safety, including speed checks and enforcement. Tickets have been issued for offences such as speeding and not wearing a seatbelt, and vehicles have been seized for having no insurance. This work supports national campaigns targeting the "Fatal Four" (the main causes of serious road collisions: speeding, drink or drug driving, not wearing a seatbelt, and using a mobile phone while driving). Community engagement events have also taken place, giving residents the chance to share road safety concerns directly with their local officers.

E-scooters/e-bikes.
Officers are taking action against the illegal use of e‑scooters and e‑bikes, with seized vehicles removed and destroyed. Recent activity includes seizures following nuisance riding in Beaver Road and at Ashford Outlet. Dedicated days of action continue in hotspot areas. Officers are also visiting schools to speak with young people about the risks and dangers of using e‑scooters and e‑bikes.

Antisocial behaviour - general.
We have received reports of antisocial behaviour, including cannabis growing. Officers have gathered information, obtained warrants (legal permission to search a property) and carried out enforcement action, leading to arrests and the closure of 2 large cannabis grows in the area. We have also responded to nuisance neighbour and housing-related issues, working closely with Ashford Borough Council and housing providers to resolve concerns and prevent further problems.
