Current priorities

Includes the theft of and from vehicles as well as damage caused to vehicles.

We work with colleagues in We Don’t Buy Crime (WDBC) to tackle a variety of vehicle crimes, including theft of vehicles, theft from vehicles and criminal damage. We have been running initiatives using specialist marking to deter theft and increase our ability to identify stolen items. In addition, Operation Athena has led to the recovery of hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of stolen vehicles in recent months.
