Current priorities
Shoplifting
The neighbourhood policing team is committed to tackling this priority through engagement, collaborative working and problem solving. The team will proactively patrol hotspot areas, providing a visible deterrent against offending. Officers will continue to conduct both plain clothes and high visibility patrols across the ward to target shoplifting. This is supported by the use of facial recognition technology and crime prevention tactics. Crime prevention and advice will be provided at community engagement events across the ward. Criminal behaviour orders will also be used in order to tackle prolific offenders.
