Current priorities
Burglary
Although there has been a reduction in burglary over the last 12 months it still remains a priority for us. Working with Trafford Council we have expanded the number of CCTV in the area which enhances our disruption and detection capabilities We task our patrols to the ‘hot spot’ areas and use a variety of tools from stop search, specialist unmarked cars and our dog units to continue to reduce this type of crime
Set: 2026-06-03
ASB
Keep reporting so we can target these. We patrol our repeat locations and work with partners to reduce antisocial behaviour by early interventions and the use of civil orders to prosecute those that don’t heed warnings and advice
Set: 2026-06-03
Shoplifting
Retails crime costs us all in higher costs for goods. We will be conducting operations in the town and retail centres. Working with partners in retail and local authority ensuring information is shared and offenders targeted.
Set: 2026-06-03
Drugs
We will continue to target those involved with importation and dealing of controlled drugs by using a range of disruption tactics including warrants and plain clothes operations in the area.
