Current priorities

Reduce anti-social behaviour in parks, estates and the town centre.

•Increased high-visibility foot patrols in ASB hotspots. •Worked with Durham County Council and housing providers to identify repeat offenders. •Issued warning letters, Acceptable Behaviour Agreements and Community Protection Warnings where appropriate. •Engaged with young people through schools and local youth organisations to prevent repeat incidents.

Set: 2026-07-05

Tackle the illegal use of off-road bikes causing danger and nuisance.

•Seized off-road bikes using intelligence from the community. •Used police drones to locate offenders. •Worked alongside the Roads and Armed Policing Unit on enforcement operations. •Installed Section 59 signage, allowing officers to seize vehicles used in an anti-social manner more quickly.

Set: 2026-07-05

Disrupt drug dealing and reduce associated crime in the community.

•Executed intelligence-led warrants at suspected addresses. •Increased patrols in areas identified through community intelligence. •Made arrests for drug possession and supply offences. •Encouraged residents to report information anonymously through local policing channels to help target offenders
