Current priorities
Excessive Speeding through Villages
The Neighbourhood Police Team are aware of the concerns around Excess Speeding in the area. The team are currently looking at the following to reduce speeding: Community Speed Watch – Tuesday 3 February 2026 along Yarm Road, Middleton St George. Out of 100 vehicles checked, 2 were found to be over the speed limit and will be issued with warning letters. Deploy Mobile Speed Camera Van if data from Community Speed Watch see a high level of speeding Educate Drivers Prosecute Drivers

Off Road Bikes
We understand the ongoing issues with illegal Off-Road Bikes and Electric Motorcycles that continue to cause harm to the community. The Neighbourhood Policing Team are continuously working to identify these drivers and where these bikes are being stored. We continue to run Operation Endurance working alongside our Roads Police Unit to target, seize Off- Road/Electric Motorcycles and prosecute the Riders. This enforcement approach has led to successful seizures and ultimately the confiscation and crushing of many vehicles over the last few months. As well as carrying Operation Endurance, the Neighbourhood Policing Team continue to conduct regular patrols in the areas of known hotspots.
Set: 2026-04-09
Anti Social Behaviour (ASB)
The Neighbourhood Police Team continue to tackle anti-social behaviour in your area. We monitor call levels and speak to the public to identify areas where anti-social behaviour is taking place. We are working with our partners to ensure that the people who are causing ASB are held to account. We continue to conduct High visibility patrols in known hotspot areas to identify youths causing ASB.
