Current priorities

Issues with off road vehicles causing damage and antisocial behaviour in Teesdale, specifically incidents linked to poaching.

Proactive high visibility patrols in the area by Neghbourhood teams, proactive deployments with specialised equipment including drones. Partnership working under Rurali and intelligence gathering regarding vehicles attending these locations. Identified offenders have been issued with protection notices or appropriate action taken where criminal offences have occurred.

Set: 2025-10-06

We want everyone to feel secure on our roads and in our countryside.

We will continue to work with our Speedwatch volunteers to keep Teesdale’s roads calm. We will also intervened where necessary, stop and removed uninsured or unlicensed drivers to protect responsible road users.

Set: 2026-04-13

We understand the deep frustration caused by criminal damage to our fields as well as poaching.

We are proactively working to protect our farmers’ land. We are training our newest officers the Rural powers they have when it comes to Wildlife and Rural offences.
