This operation was run again on 21st March, with two offences being prosecuted. On 22nd March a male was arrested for being over the proscribed limit. On 30th March an offroad bike was seized with the rider being reported for offences. On 1st May a male was arrested for failing to provide a specimen of breath. On 20th May speed enforcement work was carried out on Michaelson Road. He has also worked with Westmorland & Furness Council to support School Street Initiatives around Barrow Island Community School and Bram Longstaffe Nursery. PCSO Thomas and Sykes have been carrying out regular high visibility patrol activity around both Walney and Barrow Island in order to gather intelligence relating to the unlawful use of offroad bikes. They have also been working alongside the local primary schools "Mini Police" in order to educate drivers about speeding issues in the local area.
